Senior British Open - Turnberry 2006

Turnberry and all the courses used as qualifying courses for the Championships are located along the South West coast of Scotland and can be combined to provide a challenging golf tour for those wishing to experience some of the best links courses in the world. Turnberry is due to host the Open Championship in 2009 and the Scottish Open is set to move from Loch Lomond to Dundonald at some point in the near future.

Turnberry is set to host the Open Championships for the 4th time since in 4 decades in the summer of 2009 - previously held here in 1977, 1986 and 1994 it is one of the classic venues on the rota and in the words of R&A director David Hill "There has never been any doubt that the Open would return to Turnberry, one of our very best links courses".
